Bukit Merah Laketown Resort

Bukit Merah Laketown Resort

Set off the North-South Expressway, this laid back resort hotel overlooks a Tasik Bukit Merah, a 3000 hectare freshwater lake. With lush greenery and trees stands Bukit Merah!!!

I went to Bukit Merah on the third day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. It took us two hours to get there from Kampar, Perak. The Resort had two types of accomodation facilities:

  1. Kampung Air (Chalets)
     2. Laketown Hotel

I stayed in the hotel. The hotel was ok not really that posh. I didn't like the room because impressively for the first time there was a lizard! That just summarizes that the hotel was dirty! The bathroom was clean and smelly. The room was accommodated with complimentary Wi-Fi, cable TV and mini fridges, as well as tea and a kettle. It also had a outdoor pool.

Near the hotel was a plaza. It had cafes and souvenir shops. There were no food choices except local Malaysian food. We had to go to taiping to eat! It was quite hectic.
Some of the activitties

Other activities were:

  • Ecopark (animal are not caged)
  • Waterpark
  • Adventure park (opening soon)

The Waterpark was quite good. Firstly, I had a zip on my swim suit so that's why i couldn't go on a slide. Secondly, you had to rent a tube for RM 30!!!!! That was quite cheeky and greedy for money.

Otherwise my stay was great. If not for these mistakes it would have been amazing! So I recommend not to visit this place it just wastes money!

Not a good experience
