Youth Social Responsibility SEDEX UTP

Youth Social Responsibility UTP

Youth Social Responsibility is a social program for kids of primary-secondary. It is a program to for kids to get to know children of ohter religons and races. I was also in that program. I believe it did make me want to interact with others. An indian girl beacame my friend we did the three legged race together.

UTP's logo
The program's slogan was Bridging Boundaries! It was held by the students of Universiti Teknologi Petronas. The UTP bus came to pick us up. A maximum of 40 students went. The bus ride was great.

One of my great friends  said " The event was well-organised and it had been a great experience" Well I can't agree less. These are some of the games we played:

- Three legged race

- Balloon race

- Knock the pyramid etc.

Other times we had a visit to their Information Resource Centre (IRC library)
They also provided breakfast and lunch. For breakfast we were given a small cactus water and a bun. For lunch we were provided with rice and some curry. I didn't really like the food.

Overall it was a great experience

SkyTrex Shah Alam

SkyTrex Shah Alam

SkyTrex Shah Alam is an adventurous place for anybody up for an adventure. From Kuala Lumpur , Shah Alam is a 28 minutes drive. It is located 3 kilometers inside 817 hectares forest of Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam. This park is only 40 minutes drive from the  city centre of Kuala Lumpur and it is acessible via the many highways to Shah Alam.  Skytrex is not only located in Shah Alam but also in:

- Melaka

- Langkawi

As I went there with my school, it  was an amazing place. It has three levels which you choose from: Little Adventure (Beginner), Big Thrill (Intermediate) and the hardest Extreme Challenge (Advanced). As I did Big Thrill I would say it was Tough. It was hard and difficult.

Entrance to the park
Some of activities included:

- Flying Fox

- Ladder climbing (up and down)

- Zig Zag path

- Cargo Net

AND MANY MORE...

I would totally recommend this place for people who are not afraid of heights, who are up for any adventure. If you have little kids with you  can send them to the Little Adventure which is very safe with a guide on each platform. While your child does that, you can go ahead and do something not very hard (Big Thrill) or if you are confident and strong you can do the EXTREME CHALLENGE.

Big Thrill takes around 2 hours to complete.

Little Adventure  takes 2.5 to 3 hours.

Extreme Challenge takes 2.5 to 3 hours.

(If you are afraid you can always exit which I call CHICKEN EXIT.)

Information Chart

If you get thirsty or hungry after or before the activity you can always go to their shop. They sell various drinks and snacks. The shop does not only sell that but you can also buy some souvenirs. Here is a list of items you can get:

- T- Shirts

- Bracelets

- Caps...

ETC.

My experience was amazing. I would really recommend that you go there and get your adrenaline pumping. Gather up your besties or family and get going. This place shouldn't be missed for any circumstances. Either you are in Malaysia for  a holiday or not you have to visit it. It is a full day activity. So be prepared and get going...
